The Journey Forward
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. You may know that something in your life, relationships, or within yourself isn’t feeling quite right, but you may not know where to begin or how to make things different. You might be struggling with anxiety, depression, intimacy or sexual concerns, relationship difficulties, infidelity, shame, self-esteem, or patterns that seem to repeat themselves no matter how hard you try to change them. Sometimes, simply taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming.
My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. I use a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach to therapy, drawing primarily from psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Together, we can explore the experiences, emotions, relationships, and patterns that may be influencing how you see yourself and connect with others.
I believe therapy is not about telling you who you should be or giving you a quick answer. It is about creating a safe space to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and develop the insight and tools to move toward the life and relationships you want. My hope is that through our work together, you can feel more confident in yourself, more connected to others, and better able to navigate life's challenges with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Experience
Susanna Orlando, MA, RP Qualifying is a psychotherapt with a master’s degree in counselling psychology. Over the past two and a half years, she has had the privilege of supporting adults through a wide range of emotional, relational, and personal challenges. She brings a compassionate, grounded approach to helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and the complex patterns that influence how they connect with themselves and others.
Susanna is particularly passionate about supporting clients through sexual and intimacy-related concerns, relationship difficulties, and deeper questions of self-esteem and identity. Understanding that topics involving shame, guilt, and boundary-setting can feel deeply personal and vulnerable to explore, she provides a warm, non-judgmental space rooted in curiosity, authenticity, and collaborative care tailored to the unique experiences of each client.

Beyond the Office
One of my favourite quotes that I created is: “The most profound changes often happen when you allow others to walk alongside you.”
This quote reflects how I view the therapeutic process and a person’s support network in general. You don't have to navigate difficult experiences alone. I believe meaningful change can happen when you have supportive, non-judgmental people beside you as you explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and work toward the life you want.
