The Journey Forward
Life can often feel like navigating a landscape without a map. Whether you are struggling with sexual concerns, exploring questions surrounding gender and sexuality, or feeling overwhelmed by emotional and behavioral regulation, it is common to feel stuck or uncertain about how to move forward. These challenges can make the present moment feel heavy and the future seem unclear.
I see myself as a temporary companion on your journey through these difficult times. I often think of therapy like a mountain hike; I am a fellow traveler you encounter on your path to the summit. As we move upward parallel to one another, I am there to offer support through the steep terrain. My goal is to be the person who encourages you to reach your destination and is smiling back at you once you have. My approach is rooted in radical non-judgment and cultural humility, providing a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
My work is aimed at helping you regain control of your life. You don’t need to have all the answers right now; all that is required is the effort to show up and engage in the process. Together, we will work to grow your personal toolkit of skills and techniques, helping you overcome current hardships and build the resilience needed for the future. My goal is to support you as you move from a place of simply surviving to navigating your life with confident autonomy.
Experience
I am currently a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University. My background includes sixteen years in the hospitality industry, a career that cultivated my deep interpersonal resilience and comfort with complex, high-energy human experiences. Additionally, my years of community advocacy and work in low-income neighborhoods have shaped my commitment to supporting diverse populations. I am passionate about sex therapy, gender and identity exploration, and emotional and behavioral regulation, with a special interest in the intersection of these three areas and how they shape our lived experiences.
