Who We Are

At Unleash Synergy, we help clients overcome blockages in self-love, intimacy, and sexuality to create lives full of connection, desire, and love. Our website address is: https://unleashsynergy.com.

1. What Personal Data We Collect and Why

A. Inquiry & Contact Forms When you use our contact forms, request a consultation, or email us directly, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and the general reason for your inquiry. We use this information strictly to respond to your request, schedule appointments, and provide customer service.

B. Clinical & Health Information (PHIPA) It is important to distinguish between “Website Visitor Data” and “Client Health Data.”

  • Website Data: Information submitted via this website is for intake and administrative purposes.
  • Health Data: Once you become a client, your Personal Health Information (PHI) is protected under the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA). We do not store clinical notes or sensitive health records on this website. All clinical data is securely stored in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, Jane App, which is fully encrypted and PHIPA-compliant.

C. Cookies & Analytics If you visit our login page or browse our site, we set temporary cookies to determine if your browser accepts them. These contain no personal data and are discarded when you close your browser.

We use third-party analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how visitors use our site. These tools use cookies to collect anonymous data (such as IP addresses, browser types, and pages visited). This helps us improve our user experience.

2. Marketing and Advertising (Google Ads)

We use Google Ads to promote our services. As part of this, we may use cookies and tracking pixels to measure the effectiveness of our advertising (e.g., to see if a user booked a consultation after clicking an ad).

  • Remarketing: We may occasionally use remarketing services to advertise to previous visitors of our site on third-party websites (including Google). This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page or a site in the Google Display Network.
  • Opt-Out: You can opt-out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ad Settings.

3. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or rent your personal data. However, we share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers to facilitate our practice:

  • Jane App (Jane Software Inc.): Used for online booking, scheduling, and secure storage of client health records.
  • Google Workspace: Used for secure email communication and document management.
  • Payment Processors: If you pay online, payment data is processed by secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe/Payfirma via Jane). We do not store full credit card numbers on our website servers.

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and comply with applicable privacy laws.

5. How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Inquiry Data: Information submitted via contact forms is retained for customer service purposes but is not used for marketing unless you explicitly opt-in.
  • Clinical Records: For active clients, personal health information is retained in accordance with the regulations set by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)—typically for 10 years after the last client contact.

6. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures (including SSL encryption) to protect against the accidental or unlawful access, loss, misuse, or alteration of personal information under our control. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

7. Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes (such as clinical records required by law).

8. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or our privacy practices. We recommend that you check this page frequently for updates.
